[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]

I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-

[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!

[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]

[ He lets his rest on his own legs. ] Of course not. [ He doesn't have any other weapon, which he doesn't mention just because Rita should know. ]

[She does know, which might be the only reason she isn't...entirely ignoring it. She keeps watching Tyr, eyes narrowed.] Really?

If it was here, it'd be close by; I shouldn't have to search for it. It's either up there still, or...

[ Well, he doesn't see any shiny, golden caps anywhere, with or without the staff itself. Not that he's going to stop searching the darkness. ]

action; ♥!

Or what? I don't see anything down here, so it's probably gone. [And she doesn't realize it might be important to him.]

[stargathering]

... [ His face turns sour, and he purposely doesn't look over at her again. He knows that. ]

action; ♥! And probably last one. So sleepy;; Night~!

[blastiafreak]

[She makes a "hmph" and sighs. This whole thing is irritating.] Just fight with your rune and your blastia, and buy another one later.

action; ♥! Aww, good night~ :3

[stargathering]

[ Rita is irritating him so much he almost want to explore as a distraction. He looks back at her then. ] It's not like that! I want to use my staff!

[ He doesn't really expect her to get it, though, and thinks this is just going to lead to a headache. ]

action; ♥! Aaaand morning~ :3

[This time, she does get it--maybe because it's like Judith's feelings for her spear--but she's still annoyed, and abruptly she stands up.] ...Just quit whining, already.

[She walks a few feet away, looking around for the staff now.]

action; ♥! Good morning! :D

[stargathering]

[ He stands up with her, holding his devices to light up the area. ]

Where are you going?

[ He was getting annoyed with her, too - he's annoyed she called it "whining"! - but he doesn't want them to leave each other! ]

action; ♥! :3

[blastiafreak]

[She doesn't say anything about the light, though it does help her to see a little bit more--mostly just rough stone floor, with no walls in sight.]

You're not seriously giving up on something that's important, right?

[Her voice loses some of its edge; despite her irritation, she might be feeling at least a little sorry for telling him to forget about it in the first place.]

[stargathering]

[ Like a dungeon... He's less concerned about the room at the moment, though, and more surprised that Rita changed. Shaking his head, he walks over closer to her and aims the light down towards the ground to try to catch it. If nothing else, the ends should be easy to spot. ]

No... [ And with more confidence- ] Of course I'm not going to just give up.

[She stays still while he comes over, mutters an embarrassed "sorry", and starts forward again, just trying to focus on looking for the staff.]

[stargathering]

[ She really gets it, he thinks, and he feels a little bad for thinking she wouldn't understand now. He doesn't know what to say, though, and just continues to scan the area with his device to try to find even a glint from it. ]

It's not like I have anything better to do. [That doesn't really sound right, though...So she adds an honest addendum-]

And...it's important to you, right?

[ He almost lost that good feeling he had towards her until she continued (though it's also true that they don't have anything to do but sit and wait or look for his staff...) ]

Yeah. It's my staff. [ Like that should say everything even though it's almost meaningless. ] I can fight without it now, but...You can't just replace your blastia, right? It's like that...

[She might have looked for it if she was bored enough, but realizing that it means a lot to Tyr is the biggest motivator. She thinks she sort of gets his explanation, even if she can't think of a staff as like a blastia.] I guess...So we'd better hope it's down here and not anywhere else.

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ Considering he still thinks blastia are alive, he doesn't think it's a fair comparison, either, but his staff has been through a lot with him, and he does really care about it...

He nods. ] I hope it won't disappear with this house if it's still upstairs... [ When he glances up, it's just pitch black. No ceiling. ] It shouldn't be anywhere but here, though; it was with before, and it can't have burned up that easily...

[And that's something that isn't a foreign concept to her. She keeps her eyes on the ground ahead, not spotting anything.]

You're sure it fell with us?

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

I don't know... I wasn't even holding it when we fell, so... [ He really doesn't know. Between getting shoved to the ground, pushed through the floor, and sending the room alight, he can't remember.

And he still hasn't seen anything on the ground. ]

[blastiafreak]

So... [She's not seeing anything either, and she doesn't think it'd roll this far if it did come down with them.]

It's probably somewhere else.

[stargathering]

[ He nods slowly, and simply stops where he is. There's no point. It wouldn't be able to roll that well on a floor like this anyway. ]

Maybe it'll appear when this curse is over... Otherwise...

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

And what if it doesn't? [She glances back at him, then continues walking.] We just need to find some stairs or something.

[stargathering]

[ This is why Rita is one of his best friends. He smiles and goes to walk by her side. ]

—Right. There has to be some way up from here.

[ He shines the light around into the darkness. ]

action; ♥!

[She doesn't catch his smile as she keeps looking around, but she has to admit that this is better than the way they were arguing earlier. The last thing she wants to do is ruin their friendship.]

What is this, anyway? A basement?

[stargathering]

[ Tyr wouldn't let their friendship be ruined over something small. Even if they argue, he doesn't really hold things against her that long. ]

It looks like it... [ Cold, wide-open, no real floor... ] If it is, we must have been on the ground floor before now, so once we find the stairs...
