Let's get one thing straight: I'm forgetting these curses ever happened, got it? You all should do the same!
[What Rita has failed to notice--but what's pretty obvious to anyone who looks thanks to the green tank top she's wearing--are two or three small fading bruises on the sides of her neck. The genius mage still has some hickeys as a souvenir.]

Mana conversion is a brand-new field, anyway. Up until recently, there were only a few studies done on its basic properties and relationship to aer. I've been doing my own thorough analyses and modifications here, but it's pretty tough when things are always going crazy.

[Good point. He strokes his chin.]
If I could build a remote monitoring device we could set it to recording mana frequencies--That way we'd still be getting data even when we're busy.
[Just a strange coincidence, of course. Rita's intrigued by his suggestion and taps her chin with a hand.]
That's right--you said your fonons emit certain frequencies. If we can measure and utilize that for mana, it might give us something to work with.

[But, more important things! Like teching the techie tech thing!]
The fonon frequencies are well recorded. Even if mana isn't sound-based in nature there should be some way of measuring it.
If you converted Aer to mana, do you know a way of measuring Aer? That might help.
Of course I have instruments and techniques to measure both. I wouldn't have gotten anywhere without them. But I doubt anyone's ever considered any sound-based properties...
So we'll probably have to build or modify something.

If I can look at how your measuring instruments work I can modify a fonmachine probably. If not we can build from scratch, it shouldn't be that difficult. We can even check for fonic frequencies, just in case.
I'll think on it during work.

[Something seems off with Estelle, but Rita doesn't know what to do about it.] You're going to take her somewhere nice, right?
She offered to show me the gardens.

It sounds like fun. Did you want to join us?
Who, me? I-I don't really...I don't know.
[He realizes he'll have to phrase it differently.] I'd like it if you joined us.
[Oh, Guy. That's exactly what he had to ask to make her give in.] I...I-I guess I can come.
Great. I'll see you when I'm there. [Taking a walk with two girls he completely thought that one through.]

Yeah. Later. [FFFFF good job, Guy. At least he can admire the scenery.]
