[She will. But she wants to keep both of them as her friends, too.]

That's a long time to go... [She can't imagine what it's like for him to have not seen some of his friends in years. It just...seems lonely.]

[ Maybe he'll know how to deal with her better next time... But he likes the Rita who's his friend now.

He feels a little tug in his chest just from her saying that. His voice turns flat, though. ] It was my choice.

[ Looking back at her face- ] Anyway, there's no point talking about that now.

[If it happens again...Rita doesn't want to be that horrible to him again.

She looks at him a bit somberly, not entirely sure if she understands, although she has a guess. "No point" seems more like Tyr doesn't want to talk about it, so...she'll let it drop.] ...Yeah. It's not like we control who we see here.

[ He'd want to be better to her, too.

And she's right. He doesn't really want to talk about it after all the running away he did in the City already. He can only guess what she would think if she knew he would leave and never come back if he had a choice. ]

...Right. We're just stuck here, and we don't have any way of knowing who will come here.

[It'd certainly make her angry. Maybe she'll never understood the full extent of the rune's toll on him, but knowing he'd just cut himself off from everything...She'd be furious.

For now, though, she thinks he just seems like he could use some cheering up. Clothing and curses have been forgotten at this point.] So...we'll just make the best of it while we're here.

[ He could probably use someone being angry at him, but whether that would help or not is debatable. After how Rita and other people told him how they felt when he left, the guilt is enough to affect him.

Rita needs something happier to talk about, too, he thinks. Old friends, lost friends, returned friends - it's a little depressing. ] That's right... [ He smiles at her a little. ] I think we do anyway.

[Not everything can be solved by threats and yelling, after all...

They could both use the subject change. The more Rita thinks about it, the more she's missing other friends she hasn't seen in a while, so Tyr's reply gets her to manage a small, fond smile too.] Yeah. I like, you know...just what we do.

[ Nope...

This seems to work well enough. ] Is there anything you want to do later? When you're done with everything else.

[That it does. Rita ponders that, coming up with a...tentative decision.] ...Yeah, there is. I think we should go back to that park. You know, with the rides. [And she won't throw a fit this time.]

[ It definitely wasn't something he expected from her. She pretty much said she never wanted to go again. ]

You need to take out your frustrations on something?

[Her face goes a bit red--even maybe she was thinking about the bumper cars a little!]

N-no, I don't! It's just...

You were right, okay? We had some fun, so...I want to go back.

[ Her reaction is very cute, though... His smile softens a little, ]

...All right, we can go back later and try a few more things. I heard it's pretty nice to go at night, too.

[She smiles back when he agrees, although that gets her curious. Why would it be any different at night?]

Really? Do they do something else at night?

Maybe; all I heard about were the lights.

We can see together, though.

The lights? [She tilts her head a bit curiously. It's obvious the place would need to have lights at night, but there has to be something more...] ...Yeah, we'll check it out.

[ He's not really sure how they are either. It was just a vague sort of comment before. ] Good.

...Do you want me to come back later so we can walk together?

[It seems like it'd be silly for Tyr to come all the way over there and just walk back, so why does she sort of want to agree?] ...You can do whatever you want.

[ Holding hands through the forest is nice? He wished she gave him a real answer. ]

...I'll come back later. I shouldn't just hang around while you go shopping...

[It could be very nice...Rita couldn't really decide what she wanted, but she ends up protesting a little.]

It's not like you have to go. I mean...You're here all the time, so nobody will care if you stay.

I guess not, but... [ He is always here, isn't he? ] I might as well when you put it like that...

[It does feel like he practically lives there sometimes...] Yeah. If you're just going to go home and come back, I mean...That'd be pretty pointless.

[ It's Rita's fault... ] Yeah... You're right. I wasn't sure if you wanted me out of the way, though...

[...It really is.] Huh? You're not in the way of anything.

[ Not like he visited anyone else there that whole time he was weird with Yuri. ] ... If you're sure. [ And to think he was just going to leave soon after. He didn't even bring his staff. ]

How is it going with the runes, anyway?

[Something Rita didn't even realize until later... She nods to show that she's certain. He might as well stay if they're going to walk together.]

Oh...It's not bad. They're completely new, so figuring out what kinds of tests to use on them is very interesting. [And it shows in her voice, too, with a hint of excitement.]
