[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]

I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-

[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!

[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]

Estelle!

[More than anything, hearing that Estelle isn't in any place like this one makes Rita feel a hint of relief.]

I'm not really... [Okay. But she trails off, and starts again.] It's just some weirdo cursed house.

[Estelle knows about Rita and her dislike for haunted houses and ghost stories, which gives her even more reason to support her in this time. Though for now, it just seems to be a cursed house.]

Is there any way I can help you via our devices? Or maybe I can come find the house you're currently in?

[She's unusually torn. She wants help--she wants out of this place--but asking for it and putting Estelle in danger or both things she doesn't want to do.]

I--I don't know. I don't think it'll be that easy. You could end up stuck, too.

Well, I think it would be better than you being stuck alone!

[Before Rita could say anything, Estelle picks up her device and left the safety of the beach house to look for this haunted house that the mage found herself in.]

I'm going to come find you, but until I do, I am going to keep connected to you via our devices.

[Estelle knows better than to say anything out loud, but she could sense her friend is scared. If just being there and talking to her through the device would help, then she would do just that.]

Huh? But--wait a minute-! [It's her best attempt at protesting when she can't really argue...] Just don't get lost or anything, got it?

I promise that I won’t!

[And then Estelle can be seen walking through the forest, looking around. In the books she read, haunted houses always show up in forests…but that was just in books.]

Where were you last before you ended up in the house?

Okay, but...be careful, anyway!

[She's still worried Estelle could end up in a completely different cursed house, but she answers quickly.]

It must've been the beach. I mean, I was trying to get back to our house, but then all this fog came out of nowhere...

[And Rita can probably see the forest spin behind Estelle, a sign that she is turning around and going back to the beach house.]

I didn’t see anything unusual by the beach house, but I didn’t really check either.

[But she did notice it was rather foggy out. Perhaps she missed something while glancing quickly around.]

Hold on, I will find you soon enough!

[She’s made up her mind and determined to find her friend. No use talking her out of it now!]

Y-yeah...

[Rita sounds...less than enthusiastic. But she's grateful Estelle's looking for her--just too worried about her friend to express either sentiment properly.]

If it doesn't look like our place, don't go in, okay?

Okay...I-I promise not to.

[If Rita hadn't said that, she most certainly would have entered any house that looked like a haunted house. Still, she wanted to find her...]

Do you remember exactly where you were when you entered that place...or what it too foggy to tell?

[So instead she will try to figure out the exact location of where this house is!]

[The last thing they need is both of them trapped in different houses...Rita waffles a little as she makes her way down a random hallway.]

It wasn't really...I mean, it was foggy, so--yeah, I couldn't really tell. [I-it's not that she wasn't paying attention or anything...A house on the beach just isn't usually that hard to find-!]

[No, but there's the chance that they'll wind up lost in the same house, right? But for now, Estelle isn't seeing any strange houses...and with this thick fog, she can't see their own house either.]

I don't see any houses right now...but I won't give up!

[....aaaand she's determined to find Rita now. Good luck talking her out of it...]

[And that's the other thing Rita's worried about, but...Nope, she's not going to try and keep arguing.]

...I know you won't. [If Rita wasn't so ~~scared~~ on edge right now, she might have been able to manage a bit of a smile.]

[Proof that Rita knows her friend well enough not to argue. Then again, she couldn’t talk her out of rejoining their journey when using her artes meant using her own life force. Stubborn one, isn’t she?]

Oh, is that a house? [Her face shows curiosity on the screen as she slowly walks up to it.]

I’m rather sure it’s not our house… [Normally she would have barged right in, but Rita’s words telling her to be careful held her back. She wanted to find her friend, but she also didn’t want to worry her…too much at least.]

[So stubborn! ~~Even if that's what makes her, well...her. ♥~~

When Estelle mentions the house, Rita immediately snaps to attention, peering intently at the screen.] Are you sure? Show me with the device!

[And she shows the house she found herself at on her device. Typical haunted house that Estelle has read in many books, complete with cobwebs, spiders, and just an overall sense of eeriness.

She then turns the device back towards her.]

Is this the house you found yourself in?

That's... [Creepy. Is she really in there? She should've been paying better attention.

After a second, Rita reluctantly has to admit that she can't tell.] I...don't know. It might be.

[Between Rita’s semi-confirmation and the fact that she feels completely drawn to explore the house, that is more than enough for Estelle to enter it!]

Alright, I’m coming in to find you!

[And she enters the house before Rita has anything to say about it. Okay, yes a little bit disturbing, but it can’t be any worse than the Atherum, right?]
