[As the screen activates, Rita is rifling through some of her papers. She's about to speak when she notices something and pauses.]

Huh? ...This is definitely my writing, but I don't remember...Oh. This is from--that parasite. This is so stupid. I just want to forget that whole thing.

Hey, deities! You're listening, aren't you? I want to make a trade.

[ooc: Strikes not there!]

We are, yes. Our organization has been in place thousands of years.

The lower level ones are no threat to me. I am a vice captain. Arrancar are a threat, however.

Many shinigami are hundreds of years old- I myself am relatively young.

They are... "evolved" hollows.

[identity profile] sciencedaughter.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 03:21 am (UTC)(link)
Technically, they are "less ugly". Hollows usually have bestial forms and masks over their faces. Arrancar gain a more humanoid form by breaking their mask and releasing further power.

They are created with them- because they are created from a single corrupted human soul. While they are still one soul, they remember their pasts and their crimes- and out of guilt, hide their faces from the living in that manner.

It is how they become more powerful- and the only thing they know how to do.

Have you heard stories in your world... for example, a man dies and his wife follows him soon after? And people explain it in various ways... dying of grief, for example. In my world, that is the work of Hollows. Their first victims are those they knew in life.

I have heard similar stories from other worlds- but I can not be positive as to the cause in others.

[identity profile] sciencedaughter.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 03:51 am (UTC)(link)
... that is not necessarily so.

Humans in my world are unaware of Soul Society's existence. They cannot sense it.

I see. It is quite possible there is no afterlife in your world- all worlds are different.

[identity profile] sciencedaughter.livejournal.com 2010-08-06 04:19 am (UTC)(link)
To be positive, I suppose you would just have to wait until your death.

Mortality is indeed someone most don't wish to face- I am sure you have some time before needing to do so?

Another true statement. Stress can indeed shorten one's life span.
