[It probably will--not that she planned on doing it haphazardly, but she'll have to be more cautious.] I know...

[ He nods. He really wouldn't want to be her first test subject on a new spell. ]

[She'd be willing to use it on someone she didn't like, but Tyr? She'd rather not. It'll work before she uses it on him.]

[ He's the only person he cares that she uses it against; he wants to know she can stop him.

Her attitude makes him have no doubts towards her. ] I will... I'll be at your place by the afternoon.

[While she's not thinking that...exactly, she wants to know she can stop him without hurting him if he's cursed.

[Since that's more important than hanging out right now...And Tyr probably wouldn't want to watch her write all day, even though she brought the materials with her.]

[ And he wants the same for her. Using brute force to stop her carries bad memories all on its own.

Her saying that snaps him back out of his thoughts. ] Right now?

[ He wouldn't want to just watch her write, but he for one hasn't forgotten the wind rune. ]

[And she is worried about that, too--if it comes down to her being cursed like last year, part of her doesn't care how she's stopped as long as it's before she hurts her friends again.]

Yeah. As soon as possible, right? [At least one of them remembers...]

[ Part of him feels the same way about himself, but he doesn't want to be brought to the brink of death ever again. ]

Right, but... You should attach the rune now. It won't take long... You can think of the formula on the way.

[Their thinking would be almost the same if they knew...But either way, a sleeping spell will make Rita feel at least a little more at ease.]

[ Tyr will, too. Especially since she can teach it to him. ]

It's a fact that you'll be safer, too. [They're both pretty worried--for good reason, but still...She clasps his hand when he takes it, nodding.] Let's go.

...Right, we'll both be safer... [ He holds her hand more tightly than usual. ] Do you have the crystal with you now?

... [She notices and doesn't mind. The realist in her is skeptical of whether they'll actually be much safer, but this is definitely something they need.] Yeah. I have everything I need to work on the formula, too.

[ He thinks she could be safer, at least... Even if she can only cast the rune's spell without moving her hands. As much as he doesn't want to be hurt himself, it's her that he's worried about. ]

Good. [ He'll lead them off the beach and back toward the city. ] Were you planning to work on it out here?

[She knows that he worries about her...And it's not like the weekend gave them any reason to be reassured. Attaching it isn't just for her own sake...Impulsively, she gives his hand a little squeeze.]

Maybe. I just thought I'd bring them along. I only got started on it yesterday.

[ He's a little surprised when he feels her squeeze his hand and looks over at her again. Even if he doesn't think about he being worried about him, he doesn't think she wants healing spells just for her own sake. The only thing on his mind, though, is that he can't stand the thought of her being injured that badly again. ]

So... You're going to finish the entire thing in two days?

[She glances at him a moment, then forward again. Even though she tried to be careful, that didn't really work out on the weekend, did it?]

I can do that much easily. It'll get done.

[ There was no way to prevent her from being injured, he finally accepted that, but they could still try to prevent it in the future. He looks forward again. ]

I believe you... It's just... It's amazing that you can do it that quickly...

[There's still the question of just how much they'll be able to prevent, but they'll be a bit better equipped this time.]

I wouldn't call that amazing...But we're going to need it from now on.
