Well, that was pointless. What idiot decided to send me home, and then bring me right back after a day?
[Idiot, city, whatever it was that made the decision. In any case, Rita sighs out of annoyance--primarily due to the disorientation from returning and regaining her memories--and then continues with a simple-]
So I'm back, anyway.
[ooc: Hiatus over! As mentioned by Rita, only one day went by for her while she was gone from the City for the month.]

So I'm back, anyway.
[ooc: Hiatus over! As mentioned by Rita, only one day went by for her while she was gone from the City for the month.]
voice;
Rita, are you really back? Where are you?
voice;
I'm here, Estelle. I'm near the square.
voice;
Is someone coming to meet you, or are you going to come to the house?
voice;
If you're at the house, just wait for me. I'll come meet you.
[And while she's on her way-] So did anything happen while I was gone? I heard it's been a whole month...
voice;
What you had heard is correct – a month has passed. There were… a few things that had occurred… [Her voice forces itself to remain strong for Rita. It was more than a hard month for her, but she doesn’t want her friend to know that. In a way, she did want to say that 'nothing had occurred', however that would have been a lie.]
voice;
Wait--what "few things"?
voice;
[There’s a deep breath from her end, and a bit of an awkward silence before she speaks up… It wasn’t as if it was terribly bad, just perhaps that maybe it was harder on her than it should have been. Rita’s absence only had made it worse…]
Yuri lost his memories of the City. He… doesn’t seem to remember Flynn, either.
voice;
[What else could it be, then? A curse, some kind of City event, or deity trade...As soon as she thinks that, her voice takes on a slight edge--not too harsh, because this is Estelle, but she has a suspicion.] Wait a minute...He didn't do it himself, did he?
voice;
[Estelle sounds on edge herself, flustered.]
He sent me a message the day it happened, telling me to take care of the animals. It almost seemed like a suicide note. But I was so happy to find him unharmed! Still, I can’t get over the feeling that he may have done something to himself. He even said himself that he may have done something.
[The worry in her voice is more than apparent now. There was no need to hide it anymore, but still is still doing her best to remain strong. Rita’s back, so she has someone to turn to now… at least that’s how she views it.]
voice;
[She makes a noise of frustration and goes through some messages on her device--there it is. The way it's worded, she knows she's right, and she becomes furious at Yuri for doing it, and especially for how he's made Estelle feel.]
That idiot! He went and made some kind of trade with those deities!
voice;
[She tried researching it on her own, but no such luck. Of course, she could have asked, but by the time she could talk to someone who knew, she was concerned about something else completely.]
Would you be able to tell me what a ‘deity trade’ entails?
voice;
[She's afraid that a deity trade is just the kind of thing Estelle would do to help someone...but she's not about to just keep that knowledge from her after her friend asked. Besides, Rita herself has made one before.]
Basically, it's exactly what it's called: a trade with those deities. You can ask for just about anything. The problem is that they're not interested in money, so you have to pay them with other things. Like memories.
voice;
[It wasn’t a question, just a confirmation of what Rita just said. It definitely sounded like something that Yuri would do, especially with the fact that he didn’t talk to anyone regarding it. Someone who shoulders everything on their own…]
…I understand now.
voice;
[What would make him give up memories of Flynn, of all things? Rita can't even guess.]
Oh, that guy is in for a world of hurt when I get my hands on him!
voice;
voice;
voice;
[The sounds she makes isn’t quite clear if she’s agreeing, or disagreeing with Rita on this matter. If anything, it shows her confusion. Part of her wants Yuri to see that whatever he did was wrong… Yet another part of her understands that he had to do something and would go to such lengths to do it.]
voice;
Estelle, it's all right. I won't hurt him-- [And she just can't help but add-] --not badly or anything.
voice;
[She trusts Rita on her word, and really, that's all she can do. Perhaps it would have been best if she didn't say anything about this at all, but knowing Rita, she would have gotten it all out of her eventually anyway.]
voice;
[There's the sound of her footsteps on the wooden porch, and then the front door opening as Rita finally makes it to the house.]
Estelle?
action;
action;
[She makes a little gasp of surprise, though she's not really shocked--it's been a long time for Estelle, after all. Like with Tyr, Rita hugs her back.]
I...I'm back.
action;
Welcome back, Rita. ...I really missed you.
action;
[Rita knows. She can feel it in what Estelle says and does, and she feels a little guilty for being gone all this time, even if there wasn't anything she could do about it. It's not often she apologizes, especially for things out of her control, but she does now, anyway-]
S-sorry. Just, you know--for not being here.
action;
You needn’t apologize for anything. None of this was your fault; in fact, I should apologize for making you feel guilty.
