Well, that was pointless. What idiot decided to send me home, and then bring me right back after a day?

[Idiot, city, whatever it was that made the decision. In any case, Rita sighs out of annoyance--primarily due to the disorientation from returning and regaining her memories--and then continues with a simple-]

So I'm back, anyway.

[ooc: Hiatus over! As mentioned by Rita, only one day went by for her while she was gone from the City for the month.]

[She stays silent for a few seconds, just continuing to stare at him as they walk. She still thinks his reaction was pretty extreme...She still wants to see what was written about her.]

Hmmm...Did anyone write about you?

[ Since Tyr is already well aware he couldn't lie convincingly to a two year old, he changes the subject and hopes she forgets about it. ]

Anyway, do you want one of Connell's things or one of mine? Connell's would probably fit you better.

[Which might as well be an affirmative as far as Rita's concerned, and her response is flat to show just how suspicious she is.]

I guess I'll take something that fits.

[ And she won't get a straight answer out of him. ]

I don't have another coat like the one I gave you before, so it'll have to be a cloak of mine or...whatever Connell had.

[Which annoys her right now!! Even though she'll be horrified soon enough...]

Well, it doesn't really matter. I only need it for a little while.

[ Tyr will still think he did the right thing, too... At least it's with Estelle! ]

[ And they're arriving at the apartment anyway. ]

[Rita doesn't particularly care what it is (unless it's really weird), so she just follows along to the familiar apartment. To think that a month has just gone right by...She sighs.]

[ "Yeah, so people wrote about me falling in love with you and reciprocating. Riou's was ridiculous enough that it was funny, but they're still weird, so don't bother with them."

I don't see how that'd be awkward at all! ]

[ He looks over at her as he opens the door for her, but he still plans to walk right beside her (narrow entrance way be damned). ] Are you getting tired?

[T-totally not! Just like Rita will totally be able to ignore them, right?]

[She looks up again, thinking that it is kind of tiring...Suddenly returning to the City and getting her memories back, and realizing that way more time has gone by for everyone else...]

It's just...It's weird, knowing it's only been a day for me.

[ How deep does her curiosity go... ]

...Yeah, it's not fair... [ Maybe that's been on her mind. He had forgotten about that when he began explaining everything else, and now that he remembers again, there's a bitter tone to his voice. ]

[Pretty...pretty far...especially when she knows it's about her!]

[The return of her memories was a bit disorienting--there might be some things she's a little fuzzy on, still--and it's all just a bizarre sensation.] We know the City's not really into being fair. But it still feels weird. It's like...going to sleep and missing something, or...I don't know.

[ Well, Estelle is very nice for compiling all them for her!! ]

That's one way to look at it... [ He closes the door behind them and begins guiding her over to the living room. ] The feeling will probably fade after you give it some time, but... Until then, you should take it easy.

[She tugs at the cloak as they walk and starts pulling it off. It's nice being inside again.] Hey, it's not like I'm sick or anything. I'll be fine.

[ I know!! This is why they're so close! ]

I know, but it might help you get settled again... [ He stops beside the couch. ] Wait here. I'll just grab something.

[Yes! Best friends~!]

[She stops there, and tosses the cloak on the arm of the couch while tilting her head. She doesn't think there's much for her to settle into when it's only been a day...] Huh? Okay...

[ For life! :> ]

[ It's still been longer than that in Tyr's mind. Even though he left here there, the apartment is small enough that he can still talk to her as he goes through his closet. ] What did you do back home, anyway? I told you what happened here.

[And she probably will have to remember to adjust to that. As he's looking around, she sits down on the edge of the couch.] Not much. I didn't remember anything from here, so I just went right back to the research I was working on before. Like nothing ever happened...

[ Since they're in different rooms, she misses the melancholy look that comes across his face. ]

It sounds nice... Not having to worry about remembering what you were even doing before you got here.

[ When he thinks about it, Tyr can't even remember exactly why he was with Riou when they arrived. ]

[She might sort of catch it in his words, but doesn't know what to say besides continuing.] I don't know about nice, exactly...The experiment I was conducting blew up.

[ The tone is gone when he continues anyway, since the thought of it blowing up on her makes him feel a little awkward. ] Maybe being away for so long did make you a little rusty, then...

[ The door to his closet clicks shut, followed by the door to his room. He actually is carrying a light blue coat over his arm when he comes back. ]

H-hey! I was not rusty! [Just in time for her to huff indignantly at him!]

[ And for him to really smile at her! He sort of missed this side of her. ] So it was expected, huh?

[ He tossed the coat to her. It's plain, with just a zipper down the front and a couple of pockets, and it's lined to be warm, but it's a pretty light coat. ]
