Okay, if--if nobody comes and picks them up, I'm not keeping them all.

[A slight blurring of the video as the camera rotates, and the picture focuses on no fewer than half a dozen cats lounging in various spaces in the study.

Yeah, guess who was busy during that robbing curse. Eyes is nowhere to be seen...because he's out of sight of the device, comfortably situated in Rita's lap.]

[Skip the elevator, take a stroll up those flights...But nope, there won't be any of that. Rita frowns when she sees him in the distance, though she doesn't really think he'll throw any knives at her now.] Is that too much to ask?

I don't think you should be asking much of me. [He stands there, arms crossed and frowning. And no, no knives for Rita today! He only wants Eyes back, without trouble.]

[She doesn't change her pace as she approaches, though she's noticed he's a lot less annoyingly cheerful.] You know, you're awful grouchy today. All this over one cat?

Yeah, you sure got worked up. [Finally stopping a couple steps away from him, she abruptly holds the cat out in front of her.] Here. Take him already.

Don't be shocked. [Kanone reaches for Eyes, who gives an annoyed cry when his owner shifts him in his arms.]

Why not? It's practically a wonder. [Rita raises an eyebrow and crosses her arms. Her eyes might stay on the cat just a little longer.]

You must not know that kind of relationship. [The cat doesn't look too comfortable; it's looking back at Rita.]

What relationship? He's just an animal. [Yet she looks right back at Eyes, though she doesn't move to pet him or anything. Shouldn't he be happy he's back with his owner or something?]

I just don't get how you'd get so attached to one lame cat, that's all! [Stop looking at her like that, kitty! She'll just huff and turn to the side.]

You're insulting him. [Kanone turns to leave, partly because Eyes is getting restless.] Go home and tend to your other cats, Rita. I'd hate to see them harm themselves in your messy room.
