[Which she won't dispute. The memory of it is still so weird.] That was one of the lamest curses I've ever seen.

[ Thank you! Hopefully it won't be so bad. The book is really low on detail, I feel. I know much more about the Thirty Years' War and various revolts than the book even mentions. ...admittedly, I did go over it in class and basically took the same course in high school. (And I passed the test for it with a 4! But I need a 5 (the highest score) for it to count in my degree programme.) ]

[ And Tyr is thinking of Kanone right now, so he can't really agree with Rita. ] You have to admit the curse wasn't that bad, though... We all got along for the most part.

[ It isn't! We weren't even warned. It's meant to be this big, quiet thing for the test, and we were all buzzing and worried when we found out about the busses. ]

And if that's the case, it won't be that bad. The curses have been completely mild since November.

That just means some major bad ones are going to come up again soon. They're not going to be mild forever.

Stop being so pessimistic about it. There's enough to worry about without assuming there's going to be something disastrous soon. [ Even though he agrees with her... ]

Do you have any proof of that, or are you just speculating because the City is that predictable?

It's probability. If there hasn't been anything bad for a while, they'll pull something soon enough.

In that case, the curses should have gotten better a few months ago instead of just getting worse and worse. It's just as probable that things will be decent or be better for a while before they turn again.
