[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]
I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-
[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!
[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]
[ooc: Tags slow forever. ._. Sorry!]

[And Rita doesn't feel like wishful thinking and hoping will do them any good. It is painful, though, and it's making her mood plummet, so she tries to force the thoughts away.] And we made it out...so...we can relax.

That's right... [ His voice is soft as he begins to rub her back gently again. ] We're safe now... We'll be fine today. [ He can be sure of that. If not, they wouldn't have made it out at all. ]
action; ♥!
[And usually, at least, they get a couple days' break between curses, so...] Yeah...for a while. [She relaxes a bit again and loosens her grip on his cloak.]
action; ♥!
[ He relaxes a little too when she says that, content that they don't have to worry for the moment. Leaning his head against hers, the tone of his voice is a little lighter. ] Yeah... Until then, let's just relax...
action; ♥!
[Again, she has to admit that it feels nice, and she resumes moving her hand in little circles.] Yeah--besides, you said you were tired, right? [Or maybe she's the one who said she was tired, but she can't relax enough to really rest, anyway.]
action; ♥!
[ She was the one that said she was tired, but he is tired, and the way her hand moves and just being close to her makes him relax more. It's a safe sort of feeling... ] Mm. It's been a long day, so...
[ As tired as he is, though, part of him doesn't want to fall asleep either even though he could force himself to sleep if he wanted to. ]
action; ♥!
...You can go ahead and sleep if you want. [She doesn't pause in stroking his back.]
action; ♥!
Aren't you tired, too? [ There's a note of concern in his voice beneath the calmness. ]
action; ♥!
Huh? Oh...Well, I guess. [She pauses a moment, and rather than tell him that she just doesn't want to sleep, she continues-] One of us should stay awake.
action; ♥!
[ He's not sure how to take that. It's pretty safe here, he thinks, but someone should keep watch. After a moment's consideration, he decides not to question her and simply nods. ] You're right, just in case... [ He shifts a little to get more comfortable, resting his cheek on her shoulder. ] Wake me up when you want to sleep, okay?
action; ♥!
[She wouldn't mind if they both decided to stay awake, but since he agrees, she nods.] Yeah, I will... [If she wants to sleep, she thinks.
Then, after a second, she gets a little more conscious of their position--not that she really minds that, either, but-] Hey...A-are you just going to sleep like this?

[ He's not sure if she would wake him up with the way she's talking. Although part of him is worried about sleeping, a larger part knows that he should.
But those thoughts go away when she asks him that question. Lifting his head up but not pulling away, he answers with another question. ] What's wrong with this?
action; ♥!
Now that he's conscious of it and not scared enough to keep clinging to her, he thinks he should pull away, but... ] —If it's uncomfortable, I'll sleep on the ground, but...it'd be warmer like this.
action; ♥!
[She ducks her head a little in an effort to hide her blush, almost tempted to pull away herself, but she stammers a reply.] W-well, I guess...It's not that there's anything wrong with it, but--if you think it's comfortable...
action; ♥!
[ He won't even try to hide his blush, but he wonders how she actually feels about this. If she didn't mind it, she probably wouldn't have brought it up, he thinks. ]
You're the one who needs to stay up, so it's not about if I think it's comfortable.
action; ♥!
[She's not uncomfortable, but she's a little embarrassed, even though she does also like it...What do?]
I-I don't mind, so...You can sleep however you want.
action; ♥!
[ Tyr doesn't know what do either. After a little hesitation, he rests his head on her shoulder again and snuggles a little closer to her. He will sleep how he wants, then. Blushing or not... ]
...Pull away if it gets uncomfortable. I won't mind, either.
action; ♥!
[She manages to suppress a little squeak when he snuggles up like that, her face burning red, but then she awkwardly holds him close. It is kind of cozy, so...] Y-yeah...Don't worry about it. Just rest.
action; ♥!
[ At least with Rita, he knows that she really would push him away if she didn't want him around, so he just relaxes and lets his arms just circle around her waist. ]
...Thanks. Good night...

[And Tyr definitely has it right. Even though she's flustered, she really doesn't want to push him away, and allows herself a smile while he's settling down.]
...Yeah. So...sleep well.
action; ♥!
[ He just hums in response, smiling himself. It's a little weird - he never slept like this before even when he had to stay on the road with Gremio - but it is cosy and warm. For now, he can relax - possibly because he's so aware of Rita being the one he's laying against.
His breathing slows down and he tries to make his mind just blank listening to the waves and the sound of her breathing (which he hadn't really noticed before). If he focused on those, he hoped his mind wouldn't wander. ]

[Rita sits there silently, not entirely sure how quickly he'll go to sleep and not wanting to disturb him, so she just watches his head and what she can see of his face while tracing gentle patterns (a blastia formula) on his back.]
action; ♥!
[ He wonders what she's doing. The way her fingers move seems to have some sort of rhythm, but he might just be imagining it. For now, his face is just peaceful and undisturbed, unaware that she's watching him and no the sea or their surroundings. If he was thinking critically, he would probably guess that she was looking at him, but the thought doesn't cross his mind.
He just wants to sleep while she's still there. ]

[Maybe Tyr's just...more interesting to watch than the surroundings, even if she's not exactly thinking that. She's relieved to see the peaceful look on his face and feel that he can sleep well, after all.
She continuous drawing the patterns and watching him for a long time until her thoughts eventually wander to blastia and a new formula she should put together...]

[ He falls into a deep sleep fairly easily with Rita there, probably because he really was that tired to start, and even if he didn't want her to stay up, having her keep watch does make him feel better.
Not that he usually sleeps well through the night. Eventually, his arms wrap around her more tightly as his face twists into an unreadable sort of expression. ]
