[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]
I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-
[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!
[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]
[ooc: Tags slow forever. ._. Sorry!]

There's no point to making another excuse even if he could think of one. He wishes he knew how to make her feel better instead of just himself - now more than ever. All he can think to do is start mumbling out a spell. ]

The fall did leave her with a few aches, mostly just a headache. She doesn't quite catch his mumbling, though, and asks with a quiet voice-] What is it?
action; ♥!
He doesn't respond to her question at first until he finishes the spell - Kindness Drops - for her. When he does answer, he does so in the same, quiet tone. ]
I thought that would help...
action; ♥!
...Yeah. Thanks. [It really did help, though there's nothing they can do about the memories...
But the curse is over, she reminds herself, and she tries to forget about the fear and just lets her hands rub over Tyr's back a little--not something she'd do with just anyone, but she has a feeling like Tyr could use it.] You need to warm up.

We should try to find your house later...
[ "Later" being the word at the moment. Right now, being with her is all he wants to do; it makes him calm again. He begins stroking her back, too - she could do to be warmer, too, he thinks. ]

Yeah, if we're on the right side of the beach...You should stay over. [Rita doesn't feel like she'll sleep much, though.]
action; ♥!
I'd like to... We really shouldn't be too far, either...

I don't know, but...We'll worry about it later.

After a moment, he finally tells her- ] I don't mind if we stay here...
action; ♥!
Several responses run through her mind, things like we can't just sit here forever and what's the point of that?, but they're not what she feels like saying...After another moment, she simply replies-] I don't mind, either.

Having her agree with him makes him happy. He didn't think she really would when camping out in mid-November wasn't exactly smart, but maybe she feels the same way he does right now. He leans against her a little, holding her more securely. ]

Maybe it's not the best place to be camping out, but she has an odd feeling, like she just wants to stay here and savour the moment.]
It...It's fine. You're really not hurt or anything, right?

[ They touched him, and it felt like he was dying, but there shouldn't be any lingering effects now, right? Aside from his heart pounding and...all the thoughts he can't get rid of. In his mind, this means he's not hurt.
But after a second, he quietly admits: ]
I just hate what happened...

I hate these curses. We can't fight them at all...

You have that coin, though... So next time...you should be able to get out if it works...

...Even if it does work, it's just one use. And it'll only work on one person...

...That's true. Still, if it could save you once when you needed it...that's enough.
[ But when he thinks about that time more, he's sure that one of them would have definitely died. The thought of it makes shiver. ]

Maybe if Tyr hadn't gone in after her...She can't blame him for doing that, so she doesn't bring it up, not when she's the one who was trapped in the first place and he was worried about her. Besides, she should've listened to him and been more careful--then maybe Tyr wouldn't have needed to help her in the first place.
Feeling his shiver, she holds him close and simply says-] I'll keep it with me from now on, okay?

It's better not to dwell on what could have happened, though. Sighing, he relaxes a little. ]

She hates regretting things that have already happened, too, so she pushes the thought out of her mind and just silently holds Tyr.]

He rests one of his hands on her shoulder after stroking her back a final time, and his breathing slows down. ]

Conscious of his movements, she glances at him out of the corner of her eye.] Any better?
action; ♥!
[ They're safe, and they're together. It's the best he could ask for at the moment. And they really haven't ever hugged each other this long before—and if it wasn't the middle of the night and they weren't alone on the beach, he's sure they would have parted a while ago... He's glad she doesn't seem like she's in a rush to pull away now, though he wouldn't put up and protest if she did. ]

[It's actually pretty cool out here on the beach, too, though nothing compared to the touch of the ghosts. Besides, they're bundled up, and...She doesn't really want to let go, and if it wasn't so chilly, she wouldn't have much of an excuse...]

[ It's not unbearably cool for Tyr so long as they can keep each other warm along with being bundled up, but he almost wishes it was summer, too. There's something nice about the thought of sleeping together like this. Just being with her makes him feel more secure. ]
