[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]

I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-

[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!

[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]

[ Seeing her eyes close again, he flips it over so the light only shines through from underneath, but in the darkness, that little bit of light still seems bright. ] It's broken... It won't even do anything besides turn on.

[Now that it's not so glaring, she opens her eyes to look at him, then down at the device.] What? You're kidding, right?

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

I'm not! [ He's trying to blink away the flashes of light in his eyes, but goes ahead to flip it over for her to see. It's just a broken, white screen still. ]

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

Hey--ow! [Ugh, it's bright! She brings up her free hand to shield her eyes from the glare, squinting.] I don't believe this! So we don't even know how much longer!

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ He quickly flips it back over to block out the light. He wishes she wasn't so angry, even if it's completely understandable. It's just annoying when they both are but can't do anything. ]

It can't be more than a few hours. Just get used to it.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

[She glowers at him through the spots in her eyes, annoyed by his response. Not that she was expecting sympathy, either...The situation's just frustrating!]

A few hours isn't exactly a short time, you know.

[stargathering]

[ And he has very little sympathy. ]

I'd rather spend a few hours safe here than spend a few more hours wandering around and being attacked.

[While Rita has little patience...Clearly the best match here.]

Safe, how? There's no guarantee nothing's down here!

[ Clearly... ]

Nothing's attacking us now, but you might attract something by yelling! [ ...as he yells at her. ]

Then you should shut up and quit yelling! [Yelling right back...]

[ He'll just cover her mouth, then! In a harsh, but quieter voice: ] Be quiet!

[She can't believe he just went and did that! Indignant, she pulls her face back and slaps his hand away.] I get it, already! [She's sort of quieter.]

[stargathering]

[ He pulls his hand away, but keeps glaring at her. ] Then be quiet. I don't want to have to fight in the dark.

[ Speaking of which, where's his staff... ]

[blastiafreak]

[She takes no notice of his missing staff, too busy scowling and glancing off to the side.] Fine, whatever.

[stargathering]

[ Tyr looks away from her just to try to find if it landed somewhere around them. He hopes it didn't burn up. He just responds distractedly. ] Good.

[ Heading to class soon! o/ ]

[blastiafreak]

[She keeps sulking in the meantime, though she can't help but wonder-] Just what are you doing?

[Okay, have fun! I'm going, too. o/]

Looking for my staff. [ His reply is snappy. What's with that wording? ]

[ \o Okay! Take care~ ]

[And Rita wants to know what's with his snappiness, so she grumps right back.] How'd you lose that?

[stargathering]

The same way we ended up here. Where's your device? [ Grumps everywhere. She's not helping him not be snappy. ]

Then it should be right here! [And she's totally ignoring his question, huff.]
