[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]

I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-

[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!

[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]

Huh? What's your problem? [She answers with a scowl, because she only sighed once! And didn't hear anything else. Maybe Tyr's more annoyed than she thought.]

[stargathering]

You sighed once and then again immediately after. It's annoying. [ Tyr definitely wasn't hearing things either. ] Don't get fed up on me just because we haven't gotten out yet.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

What? [Rita sure thinks she is! Her voice and expression are mixes of disbelief and annoyance.] Idiot! Don't start hearing things that didn't happen!

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ And Tyr is all annoyance all the time. ] I'm not hearing things!

[ He sighs and turns back away from her. ] It was probably just a draft or something if it wasn't you... [ And there definitely won't be anymore sighing, right? ]

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

I didn't feel any drafts. [Totally hearing things, even as the next sigh--on his left this time--doesn't come from her.]

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ Tyr bats his hand over his left shoulder, like he's shooing off an annoying bug. ] I'm hearing one.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

What's with you? [She watches him swat at nothing, still skeptical, and doesn't hear the sigh that comes from around Tyr's feet.]

action; ♥! going back to campus now! :<

[stargathering]

I hear something, and if-

[ His feet? How is that even possible. He resists the urge to kick just because Rita's there. ]

-I can't believe you can't hear anything!

action; ♥! Okay! Have a safe trip! /o/

[blastiafreak]

Hey! [She's almost starting to worry about Tyr.] Don't start going crazy or anything, got it?

[Although this time, instead of a simple sound, a pair of blackened, gnarled hands seem to reach right up out of the floor to grasp at Tyr's feet.]

action; ♥! Thanks! \o\

[stargathering]

[ That's enough to make Tyr scream and let go of her hand as he tries to jump away and free his feet, staring down at the hands with wide, horrified eyes. He both wants it to be imaginary and for it to be real just so he's not insane. ]

action; ♥! Welcome back~!

[blastiafreak]

[It's so sudden and startling that Rita screams too--and again when she follows his gaze down and sees the hands. They're definitely not imaginary.] W-what the hell is that?!

[The hands hold tight to Tyr's ankles, joined by another pair of hands that just comes right through the floorboards.]

action; ♥! Hee, thanks! :3 I'm still on my phone!

[stargathering]

[ For the hands looking so thin, they're strong. His feet can barely move to the side, much less be picked up. ]

I don't care! [ It doesn't matter what they are. He just has to get out, but he's reluctant to risk losing his staff to some monsters. Of course, he's much more reluctant to die...

He fumbles for his staff while still just watching the hands. He's sure Rita has the sense to not be ensnared. ]

action; ♥! Ohh, haha. I thought it seemed awfully quick!

[blastiafreak]

W-what do you mean you don't--how the hell can they just- [She's horrified, wishing very much she had gotten Levitation to work, and more hands are reaching up--she backs away a step, and then strikes at one with her whip; it recoils and lets go of Tyr.]

action; ♥! Haha, yeah |D I have another hour or so!

[stargathering]

Just...

[ He breathes a little when one of the hands releases him. Now that he knows they'll pull back when hit, he's more confident to whip his staff forward and strike another hand.

If not for the fact there are more everywhere, he'd feel better, but this still feels hopeless. ]

Youl should try to get out of here.

action; ♥! Well, welcome back now! :D (I was out;; )

[Rita throws her hand out to the side in an angry gesture.] And leave you here?! You must be joking!

[And she goes ahead and attacks another one. As they fight, low groans emanate from below them.]

action; ♥! Hee! And to you! /o/

[stargathering]

[ He didn't really expect her to leave him, but he had to give the option to her. That and it could be worse if she left...

Those noises are disturbing, though. ] Then just help me get free. I don't want to stay here!

[ In case these hands belong to several monsters... He keeps hitting them away (and sometimes himself in the process), but there are just...so many. ]

action; ♥! Hee, thanks! \o\

What's it look like I'm doing?! [If she weren't concentrating so much on trying to get him free from those...things, she might be angry at him for suggesting she leave him behind. As it is, though, she just keeps striking at them. She doesn't want to afford the time to cast a spell.]

[stargathering]

I know! I... [ He's not really thinking; he meant to say that as encouragement, but it definitely didn't come out that way. Tyr doesn't want her to risk attack his feet, either.

He yanks one of his feet away finally and moves it to the side. This is not how he thought this would go... ]

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

[And Rita's only snapping back on impulse, too. She wants to get him free as fast as possible--now that he's partially out of their grip, she grabs his arm and makes an upwards sweeping motion with the whip.] Come on! Let go, you-!

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ He almost twists out of her grip until he realises she's trying to help him. He's just freaking out too much to think completely clearly.

And surprisingly enough, they do let go of Tyr's other leg, making Tyr stumble into her and take hold of her shoulder for support. ] All right- [ Why does he feel out of breath? ] -now let's just get out of here

action; ♥!

Finally! [And she wastes no time turning around and dragging him in the other direction. She can ask him how he is later; right now, she just wants them to get out of this hallway.]

[stargathering]

[ He's not much for words at the moment, either, not even to protest the fact she's dragging him; he's running sort of clumsily anyway.

At the very least, the hands seemed to be confined to that one area, and there aren't any dotting the floor boards before them.

...Unless they're waiting for them. Tyr tries not to think about that and just hopes they don't have to find out what else the hands can do and if whatever was groaning will come back. ]

[Not being the most gentle encourager--and still pretty scared of what happened back there--Rita yanks him roughly.] Come on! Hurry up!

[She runs ahead heedless of anything else...Except maybe the hands that reach from the ceiling now.]

[stargathering]

[ He grunts when she pulls him, but that's all he does despite the fact it hurt. ] I'm coming! You don't have to-

[ He doesn't even think about it when he grips onto her arm and tries to pull her to the ground with him. ] Duck!

action; ♥!

Wha- [And that's all she gets out as she half-stumbles down to the floor with him and drops the torch, which flickers but doesn't go out as it comes to rest on the floor.] What are you doing?
