[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]

I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-

[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!

[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]

[She doesn't take her eyes off of it as he yanks her away. It almost doesn't look real, but it has to just be a trick or something...right?

The lights flicker briefly as it turns in their direction.] L-let's just get rid of it!

[ —He hopes the other lights don't go out. He tries to grab his staff off his back and swing it at the thing, but just getting it is a bit of a challenge when walking backwards while holding Rita's hand. ]

We need some space first! You can't cast at this range, can you?

action; ♥!

I can cast at any range! [Technically. Whether or not they get caught up in whatever she casts or the creature gets to them first is a different story. She starts going to cast anyway, blinks, and--

Suddenly, there's nothing there. The thing's completely vanished into thin air.] ...What the...

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ If there's a chance Rita could be fatally wounded before she finished casting, Tyr considers that 'unable'. As long as he's with her, though, he guesses he could cover for her while she casts. He's about to pull his staff forward when it just...disappears. ]

Ah-

[ Tyr stares ahead of him, dumbstruck. His fingers linger on the tip of his staff, but he doesn't move.

Then he snaps his head around to look around him. ]

—Can it teleport?

[And Tyr tends to have more sense than Rita does.

She looks around too, but there's nothing to be seen or heard. If it can teleport, it could appear again from anywhere...] Well, it's not here anymore, is it?

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ He pauses, wanting to be sure of himself before he answers, but there really is nothing there. ]

I guess not...

[ He relaxes and lets his other arm fall back to his side. ]

Which way should we go, though?

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

...Why're you asking me? [Her reply is low and distracted as she keeps looking around. She's starting to think that it doesn't really matter where they go, anyway.]

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

Because I don't know... [ He's quiet, too, but anxious to go pretty much anywhere. He wonders if the fire they left behind is still going and if it'll spread, and he wonders what other monsters are here that they'll need to fight. ]

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

You think I do? [She hasn't noticed any flames or smoke catching up to them, almost as if the fire was put out or vanished. Finally, frustrated and on edge, she waves her free hand dismissively.] Just pick a direction; I don't care.

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

Fine... Let's go the way we were going before.

[ He sighs heavily and goes ahead and pulls her towards the other door. Even if it leads them to one of the identical rooms, Tyr's okay with it. As long as they don't get attacked.

He takes quick glances over his shoulder to see if there's anything else around them as they walk, though. That thing could reappear any time... ]

Huh? I...I guess... [She makes a little gasp of surprise, but doesn't otherwise protest, glaring ahead at the open door. The light only penetrates a few feet beyond into what looks like a dark, dusty corridor.]

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ Dark... Tyr really doesn't want to go into the darkness again, but it could lead outside. With that hope in mind, he walks confidently forward.

He gives her hand a quick squeeze. ] It's just a curse, so... It has to end eventually one way or another.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

[She walks with him, less confident and more cynical. One way or another, huh...] You mean until we either die or run around until midnight.

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

Don't say that! We're not going to die! [ He snaps it at her, glaring. There's no way they would die, even if he can't promise it. ]

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

[The force of his reply makes her look at him in surprise, and then she flushes and glowers off to the side.] It--it's not like I was saying we would, you know!

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

You still said it.

[ He flushes, too, realising how he must have sounded, but he stands by what he said. He doesn't look away from her as he continues more calmly. ]

We'll find our way our or we'll be tossed out at midnight. Either way, we'll be fine.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

I was just saying it's a possibility! [Which...is probably the same thing, and she avoids eye contact beyond a quick glance.] It's not like I don't want us to get out alive.

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

But you still think we might not. [ Calm and cold. This is the time where Tyr doesn't even want to tolerate her cynicism. ] We can fight, and if we need it, I have a water rune. There's no reason to think we'll die easily.

action; ♥!

[blastiafreak]

You don't have to remind me! [Or maybe he does. As annoyed as she is by his tone, she's--although she'd deny it--also a bit less pessimistic now.]

action; ♥!

[stargathering]

[ Not that he can tell. ] I hope not...

[ He looks away from her and starts walking again. Unlike before, at least it's not pitch black, but he can barely see anything but the bare outlines of the hallway. ]

action; ♥! And bedtime. Good night~ :3

Hmph... [And she's not exactly the best at expressing it, either...

She's silent for only a brief while before speaking up again, still a bit moody.] I can't see a thing...Let's light that torch again.

action; ♥! Good night! /o/ I'm going, too;;

[stargathering]

[ He'd be happy if he knew, at least.

He doesn't say a word as he pull the makeshift torch out again and holds it close her her to light. ] You can carry it this time, too.

action; ♥! Aww, hope you slept well. :3 And good morning!

[If only-!

She makes a grunt, lights the tip, and snatches it from his hand.] Now let's just get moving.

[In the dim light, the corridor seems long and featureless.]

action; ♥! Good morning! ♥ I hope you did, too!

[stargathering]

[ If only! ;_;

Like that monster...illusion thing. He's sort of irritated by her behaviour - really, she can be annoying! - and just keeps quiet as they walk. ]

action; ♥! Thaaanks~

Poor Tyr. Rita's not entirely oblivious to his annoyance this time, but she's too moody to apologize, too...So she just sighs behind him.

There's an answering sigh to Tyr's right.]
