[Like a relaxing vacation~]

[It's good enough for Rita, and she replies while remembering to cast some water on the rest of the burning chair.] If it does, then we'll just smash up something else.

[ Yes~ Just having drinks and going skiing! ]

Right... [ He hopes they don't have to. He saves his magic and lets her put it out, and instead looks back at the way they game. As he looks around, though, he notices an odd shadow on the wall. Staring at it, he shifts a little to see if it belongs to him or Rita... ]

[And just playing all the time!]

[Rita certainly wants to get out as soon as possible. She shifts her own attention to the blown-apart door rather than the shadows on the walls ~~which she knows will just creep her out anyway~~, so she notices nothing especially off.

It's not her shadow, though.] Let's just hurry up and go so we don't have to, okay?

[ And it's so much fun!! ]

[ Tyr, on the other hand, keeps staring at it and clings to Rita's hand. His voice is distant and he walks slowly towards the door she broke apart. ]

...Yeah. [ He doesn't even know what she's talking about. Too creeped out. ] Let's just see if there's light in one of the other rooms.

[Nothing but fun~!]

[She walks with him, the distracted tone of his voice causing her to glance over and look at him. The torchlight is dim and casts shadows across their faces, so it's hard to tell what he's looking at.] What is it? You're not chickening out or anything, are you?

[ It's a party everyday~ ]

[ He looks over at the shadow for a few more seconds after she asks him, watching it move and wondering if it's just the shadow of some other piece of furniture. ...Until it bends and shoots away out of the light.

When he looks back over to her, he does look sort of worried... But he shakes his head. ] Of course not. We don't have a choice if we're going to get out anyway.

[Party hard~]

[She doesn't entirely believe him, but a glance around doesn't reveal anything to her, so she tugs him forward.] If you say so...Come on.

[ And everyday~! ]

[ Rita might worry if he told her what he thought he saw. He starts to walk faster, pushing her forward. ] Let's just hurry up.

[Heck yeeeeah~]

[She'd almost certainly worry...As it is, she makes a "hmph" at getting pushed forward, but otherwise complies; she wants to get out just as quickly, after all.] All right, all right...Let's pick the right way this time.

[The lights are out in the next room, too, so it's just the torch lighting their way. Should they go back through the door they'd come through earlier or pick a different one...?]

[ \o/ ]

[ Tyr isn't sure which way is the "right" way, but retracing their steps would probably be pointless. ]

The other door, then.

[ Even though Rita should be the one leading the way since she's carrying the torch, he turns towards the other door without even waiting for her agreement. ]

[♥]

[It's fine by Rita, and she follows along with the torch, helpfully pointing out-] Don't run into anything.

[ ♥ ]

I'll try not to...

[ He swings the other door open for her, and the room it reveals is just as dark as the last two. ]

[She squints as they enter, trying to make out what's in the shadows. As far as she can tell, it's identical to the other ones they've been in.]

...I'm getting sick of this.

[ Tyr doesn't sound too pleased, either, but still takes a few steps inside. His eyes try to find out if there's anything in the darkness, but it's almost impossible. ]

Have you tried just breaking through a wall? [ He'd be surprised if she didn't, the way she was scared before. ]

Not yet, but... [She came close, and she's not seeing any better ways.

Abruptly, she thrusts the torch in his direction.] But I'm not waiting any more.

[ Thankfully, he doesn't fumble and drop it. He grabs it and holds it tightly. He remains sombre and silences any objections he could have. ]

All right...

[ He'll just start walking them towards one of the adjacent walls. Anyone would do, right? They'd eventually blast their way outside. The firelight casts flickering, disjointed shadows everywhere, but he tries to ignore them. ]

[With Tyr holding the torch now, Rita lets go of his hand to take a spellcasting stance and closes her eyes to ignore the shadows, too. Naturally, she...goes for casting another fireball.]

[ Whatever makes her happy, thinks Tyr. He can't take a defensive stance with the torch in his hand, so he takes a few steps back behind her. Unlike her, he watches the wall and her spell closely. There's a nagging feeling in the back of his head that something might happen if he lets his guard down for a moment. ]

[Blowing up the walls of this place that she hates to much will be, at the very least, satisfying on some level. She completes the spell, sending a pair of fireballs across the room to the opposite wall, where they connect explosively. Debris and smoke chokes the area and almost seems to move strangely in the flickering light.]

[ And Tyr will just grab her hand protectively rather than cover his mouth as he coughs into his shoulder. The lack of light exploding from the hole means she didn't blast them outside, and if there's something in the next room (or the current one...) that comes after them, they're not going to fight it in the dark. ]

[She holds his hand while bringing up her free one to wave smoke out of her face, squinting through the haze.] It's impossible to see...But there's no way we can get outside yet.

[ The swirling smoke makes him think he sees something moving, but he knows that's not possible. His voice is a little muffled. ]

Do you want to just keep breaking down walls until we reach the outside? There might not be another way...

[Rita could almost swear she sees something in the smoke too--just like when she looked out at the fog from the windows, like there's something waiting for them...]

Huh? O-oh...This is the most reliable way! I mean, your rope was useless. [Which comes out more harshly than she intended.]

[ That's definitely a small stab. He lets go of the rope, which makes a dull sort of thump on the floor. It really didn't help them, he tells himself, and forcing their way out is the best way.

Still, he's not that eager to keep moving. He can't shake the feeling that something is waiting for them, either, like it's all a trap. ]

As long as we don't send the building down like this. [ He can be bitter, too. ]

[Even noticing the thump, she remains ignorant of her poor choice of words and focuses her attention forward again. They can't just stay and wait--that portrait monster from earlier is still wandering around...]

We won't! Come on! [And with that, she pulls him towards the direction of the hole.]
