[And since she thought of it, she is trying to keep that promise in mind now.]

You can't see anything yet, can you? [Talking to Tyr at least helps get her mind off of the creepy portrait, from which she's still backing away.]

No... [ He's a little reluctant to admit it, but he's not going to let that be a deterrent. ] It can't be much more, th—

[ If Rita needed an example of just how little visibility he has, he practically runs into the side of a house before he slides to a stop (and almost loses his footing in the process). ]

Hey! [It comes up so quickly that he's already stopping before she yells.] Watch where you're going!

[It's just because she's worried that he could get hurt. Now, though, she's also curious about whether or not he's made it to the right place.]

[ He actually rests his hand against the wall of the house to catch his breath as he replies. That close. ]

You know I can't see out here. [ He doesn't take any offence to her telling him to be careful, though. He knows he should have been.

As far as he can see around him, it looks like one of the sides of her house, albeit he can't see any holes in the walls. Or much at all besides the fact it's a wooden house. ]

Then don't go running into anything if you can't see! [She doesn't want him to get trapped, too. Whether or not the house is the same, that's still going to worry her.] It...it might be the place, but be careful.

[ He gives her a quick, little glare, but in the end, he just drops it. ] I'll be as careful as I can from now on...

[ And he starts walking along the outside of the house, using his hand as a guide.

Rita better not let her guard down for that portrait, either. ]

Good. And show me the front before you go in or anything, got it? [So she can take a look, even if she's not certain about how the building looked in the fog...

And she might just be a little distracted by Tyr.]

[ He nods. ] I will. If this isn't the place, I'll just keep looking. [ He's sure she knows what the building she went into looks like, even if she confused it for her own house.

And it really is not Tyr's intention to make that person start crawling out of the picture frame. ]

Right...And don't get lost, or...

[It takes her a second to notice the movement and a few more to register what she's seeing.

And then she can't help but shriek at the thing.]

Rita!? [ He totally ignores whatever she says and freezes for a beat before just running to find the entrance.

The monster is just glad to have her attention again, though it's busy shoving its upperbody out, picking itself up with its hands gripping the outside of the picture frame like it's windowsill. ]

[And now the monster definitely has her complete attention, as Tyr gets ignored in favour of her shouting at the thing some more.]

No--get away! [She doesn't know what to do besides casting another spell--a bigger one this time.]

[ Tyr's about to toss caution to the wind when he hears Rita panicking. He ties one end of the rope to the outside handle of the door as securely as he can before running in after her. He tells himself he'll retrace his steps and make the map later.

The figure collapses onto the floor in a tangled heap, as if its limbs are broken, yet it straightens out to stand and begins advancing towards her at a slow limp. ]

[The sound of the door and Tyr's footsteps don't quite register with her--and she wouldn't rely solely on his getting there, anyway--as she takes shaky steps back from the thing and keeps chanting. It's slow, so she can finish in time-!]

[ She could! It's not a particularly fast creature, having stayed in one place for years or decades or longer, but it's determined and feeling betrayed. Rita is so mean for leaving!

And Tyr. The door slams shut behind him, pulled closed by the rope, as Tyr starts running up the first flight of stairs he sees and hopes it's the right set. ]

[It should've been not-creepy in the first place! Rita did so much wandering around that she couldn't even tell Tyr which direction to go in if she was inclined to pay attention to him. As it is, she's too focused on finally finishing up her spell-]

Violent Pain! [If a fire spell can't do the trick, she sure hopes the darkness spell, with its multitude of violet spears, will do something.]

[ Tyr still hates that spell, and he's glad he can't see it. The spell hits and stabs through the figure, making it let out a shrill screech of pain. It couldn't just blow that out, nope.

But its torn body still tries to crawl after her. There's no blood despite the clear injuries to it; it's like its a mannequin. ]

[Rita never did entirely realize that he had an issue with her darkness spells, so she doesn't think twice about using them. Still, she can't be all that pleased when it's still coming after her and is even more grotesque than before.]

No way...How can it still be moving?!

[ He doesn't even know what's going on, and he can't think clearly anyway, but he still gives her an order despite that. ] Just- get away!

[ And it's still moving because...it's a ghost! It's slower than before, moving on its arms and legs that aren't bending quite where they should.

And it still has it in itself to giggle at her. ]

I- [She spares the hideous totally not a ghost thing another wide-eyed look before she finally agrees.] Okay!

[And with that, she turns to run.]

[ The sound of cracking and popping follows her as the totally a ghost follows behind her as best as it can. Meanwhile, Tyr is just glad she's finally just getting away. ]

[Those sounds are horrible and drive her to tear down the hallway, through a door, and off in whatever direction she can. She just wants to get out and away from the not-a-ghost!] Damn it...Where's the exit?!

[ After a while, the sounds will die down as she gets further and further away from it ~~assuming it's not a circular floor plan~~. ]

It's... [ He wants to tell her, but he has no idea where she is. ] I'll show you when I find you!

Then where are you?! [She only slows down a little bit, not wanting that thing to catch up.]

[ He, however, does stop and finally take the time to pull the cobwebs off his body. Is this place haunted? Tyr hasn't had time to notice. ] Right here. [ He pans the camera around slowly to show a hall way lined with candles on one wall and windows on the other and brown carpet running down the floor. ]

[It's definitely not haunted...Just cursed and monster-infested, right?

Rita barely glances down at the device as she keeps going, trying to find a staircase.] Like I know where that is!
