[The video's not very clear when it comes on; it's dark and gloomy, showing hints of thick dust and cobwebs--a glimpse of a window reveals deep fog--and then it shifts to Rita's wide-eyed face. When she speaks, she's trying very hard to pretend she's calm...and failing pretty horribly.]
I-is anyone else stuck in this weirdo place? I mean, it's not like I need help or anything, but-
[A loud creak and sudden clatter of footsteps interrupts her, the shutters to the window abruptly blowing open, and she jumps with a yelp.] Aah--! Uh--it's not sc--just where's the exit, already?!
[Maybe realizing that the video's still recording her little freak-out, she quickly shuts it off.]
[ooc: Tags slow forever. ._. Sorry!]

[ He stays silent when she finishes the spell, biting his lips shut and wondering what's happening. He doesn't hear the shrill cry and clatter of metal as the creature skitters back from being hurt.
After a second, when she's done, he tries to sound calm he asks her: ] What happened...?

[She hears...some kind of noise, but it's hard to tell if it's the...whatever it is getting blasted through the wall or just debris getting thrown around.] What do you think?! I blasted that thing before it got any closer!
video; ♥
[ An eternal mystery... But once the debris settles, it's pretty quiet again. ] I know, but.. Did anything happen? [ A vague way of asking if she's hurt. ]
video; ♥
[Vague to the point that she doesn't get what he's trying to ask, and shouts back-] I don't know! It was...invisible, or something!
video; ♥
[ He'll clarify: ] Did it hurt you, though? [ He's not sure how he feels about invisible enemies, but since all he heard was her panicking, he'll believe whatever she says about the incident for now. ]
video; ♥
[And that's as clear as anything could get, so she shakes her head.] I told you I didn't let that thing get near me! [Just...sort of close...And she doesn't think she hears it anymore, so she must have gotten it, right?]
video; ♥
It could have shot something at you! [ Like magic! And the
teke-tekescraping and clacking sounds are gone now. At the moment, things are sort of peaceful. ]...As long as you're fine, though, it doesn't matter. I'm heading into the forest for you now.

Like what?! Besides, I wasn't just going to let it get any closer! [Even if he might be right, she doesn't want to think about it. It just better be
permanentlydead!]Just...don't go wandering into the wrong place or anything, okay?

I don't know! I don't even know what it was! [ Totally dead. Look, the rubble is even all red now! ...and kind of squishy looking and melting into the floor. ]
And I won't. [ He says it automatically, but he wonders how he'll even know if it's the right place? ] It looks just like your house from the outside, right? I won't miss it.

And you think I know?! [Oh, that's gross...even Rita thinks so, and decides she's done with this room.]
Ugh, that's disgusting...
Oh--uh, yeah, I guess...

[ Tyr's tired of arguing over this so he just waves his hand to dismiss the topic. ] Forget about it.
[ He sort of wonders what's disgusting, but doesn't bother asking in case it turns out to be the same as asking what was after her. ]

[She just makes a grunt in reply as she strides down a new hallway. If he'd asked, she wouldn't have much to say besides mentioning the gross ooze...]
I--I told you it was foggy, remember? So...I guess it did.

Oh... [ The fog in the forest is dense as well, but Tyr can still see a few feet in front of him. ] ...But it couldn't be any of the other houses on the beach, right?

You think someone would live in a place like this?

Considering the variety of worlds here, I wouldn't rule it out as a possibility...
[ And mostly, he hopes it's an actual house so she's somewhere he can reach her and find her. ]

[ Tyr...thinks he's almost out of the forest. The fog is definitely dense now, and Rita's outburst is distracting him. ]

Because it just isn't! [And she has no idea that he's distracted--or possibly getting close--as she just makes another outburst.]

[ And Tyr is just in disbelief. ] Out of everything you don't believe is possible, people living in a weird house is one of them?

[It's not just that she's scared of the things which don't exist that would be living here-!] It's not just a weird house!

Why? What's wrong with it? [ Of course not. Rita isn't superstitious! ]

It's...It's weird, and empty, and... [creepy] And nobody would live here!

All right, all right. [ Tyr sighs and just resigns that Rita thinks she's right no matter what. ] ...So where exactly do you think you are if it's not a real house...?
[ He's focusing on her but realises he's on the beach because of the change in how the ground feels beneath him. ...And only because of that; he can't see more than a foot in front of him now. ]

It's obviously a cursed house!
[She frowns as she spares a glance at the video, slowing her pace.] Where are you, anyway?

But it is a real house, right? [ As in one he can find.
When she asks that question, he actually looks around him, trying to give some landmark to say how close he is. The best he can do, though, is say: ] I'm on the beach...
